Hansen, Juanita (Bobbie) Shaw

Juanita (Bobbie) Shaw Hansen, age 73, passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 28, 2015 at Crossroads Nursing Home.

Born February 15, 1942, she was a long time resi-dent of Waupaca, Wisconsin and there was no other place that she loved more. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Viola Katherine Smith. Viola married the late Omer Shaw and together they raised Bobbie in Indiana, Ohio and Florida. Bobbie married Jesse Baumgardt and together they had three children, James, Dennis and Randy. Her son, James, was laid to rest as an infant. She met the absolute love of her life, Jerry Hansen, in Columbus, Georgia. They married in Phoenix City, GA on March 12 of 1965 and recently celebrated 50 Years of marriage. Together they had three children, Jerry Jr. (Chip), Misty, and David. They then lived in Milwaukee area with her five children before moving to Cincinnati to take care of her Dad, Omer. Her working years were spent in sales and telemarketing. Bobbie could sell you anything, she really had a knack for talking on the phone. Eventually Bobbie and Jerry opened The Corner Pocket pool hall, in Cincinnati. Their years there were great years and Bobbie met many new friends and built lifelong relationships. When her Dad passed, Bobbie and Jerry moved to the place they loved the most, Waupaca. Bobbie worked a few more years but retired when it became difficult to work after her heart attack.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jerry; four sons and one daughter, Dennis (Dawn) Baumgardt, Waupaca; Randy (Lauren) Baumgardt, Cincinnati; Chip (Lynn) Hansen, Cincinnati; Misty (Jay) Kleiber, Waupaca and David (Tammy) Hansen, Wisconsin Dells. She has seven grandchildren: Justin, Nicole, Sara, Ryan, Kristi, Jennifer, and Will. Two great-grandchildren, Owen and Adamo. She has many nieces and nephews, family and many friends that she cherished as well as her precious dog, Maui. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Viola and Omer Shaw and her son, James Steven Baumgardt.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
