Elizabeth C. (Libby) Angsten, age 94, of Waupaca passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at ThedaCare Medical Center-Waupaca.
Libby was born in Milwaukee on May 8, 1921, the daughter of the late Leo and Elizabeth (Klesar) Gutmann. On May 6, 1942, Libby married Charles J. Bloom Jr. in Milwaukee and he preceded her in death on May 29, 1982. On January 19, 1985, she married Robert Angsten in Milwaukee. She worked for many years as a Church secretary. She is a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church.
Libby is survived by her husband: Robert Angsten, Waupaca; her children: Charles J. (Sharon) Bloom III, Brookfield, WI; Barbara Anne (Dennis) Wasylyk, Eden Prairie, MN and Thomas A. (Robin) Bloom, Scottsdale, AZ; her step-children: Michael (Debra) Angsten, Gladstone, MI; Tim (Mary) Angsten, Waupaca, WI and Patrick Angsten, El Cajon, CA; her 15 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and her sister-in-laws: Delores Hoppe, Milwaukee and Genevieve Dineen, Bluffton, SC. Libby is further survived by many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
The Funeral Mass will be on Friday, September 11 at 11 AM at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, Waupaca with Father Amalraj Roche, presiding. Entombment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee on Saturday morning at 11 AM. Visitation will be on Friday morning from 10 AM to 11 AM at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. Holly Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
