Hawks blast by Bulldogs

New London plagued by turnovers against Shawano

The New London Bulldogs are still waiting for their first victory this season after losing to the Shawano Hawks on Friday, Sept. 11.

On the sixth anniversary of the New London football team’s first game at Bulldogs Stadium, the Hawks racked up 49 points versus New London’s 12.

New London scored their first touchdown in the second quarter when Parker Fermanich caught a 13-yard pass from Jack Noffke.

In the third quarter, Noffke threw a nine-yard pass caught by Garrett Ruckdashel in the end zone.

The Bulldogs were plagued by five turnovers that opened up scoring opportunities for Shawano. The Bulldogs fought until the end despite the early setbacks, driving into the Shawano red zone in the fourth quarter, but falling just short of a touchdown.

Jonah Backus led the Bulldogs in passing with 49 yards.
