Moles, James

James Moles passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2015 after a valiant and hard fought battle with cancer.

He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends, as his hard-working, witty and always positive presence in the lives he touched leaves a large void.

Jim married the love of his life and best friend Catherine (Fields) Moles on October 14, 1972. Together they navigated many states and houses before calling Fremont their home. Jim loved raising his daughters, Kate and Sallie while living on and enjoying the Wolf River. He owned and worked so hard to grow his business, Pinnacle Sales of Wisconsin. In his free time, Jim loved duck hunting, boating, fishing (especially the walleye run in Stephensville) and being outdoors. In later years, he cultivated his love of fishing and fixing things with his grandson, Jagger.

Jim is survived by his wife of almost 43 years, Catherine; two daughters, Kate Joles, Appleton and Sallie (Mike) Kenney, Lexington, KY; his grandson, Jagger, and a granddaughter expected in February 2016. He is also survived by his siblings, Doris Alley, Rome, OH; Ann (Jon) Burke, Shelter Cove, CA and Bryan (Pat) Moles, Byron, IL; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews that were very special to him. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd B and Sallie (Music) Moles; his in-laws, Merle and Joan Fields, his brothers-in-law, Lother Alley and Bill Fields, as well as a nephew, Anthony Alley.

Jim was never one for attention in his life and would not want such for his death. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. at the Lewin Funeral Home, Fremont. Pastor Alex Tychkin will officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund is being established in Jim’s name for Ducks Unlimited.
