Hintzke, Theodore

Theodore F. Hintzke, age 59, New London, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, September 15, 2015, following a battle with cancer.

He was born in Heidelberg, Germany, son of Francis and Irmgard (Dein) Hintzke. Theodore worked for Bolt Construction for over 30 years. He was the proud owner of Hintzke Tree Service and Custom Wood Working. He was an outstanding hunter and fisherman and shared his passion, love and knowledge of the outdoors to all who know him especially his two sons. Theodore was a lifetime member of Otter Street Fishing Club. He dedicated many years of his life to being a leader in the Boy Scouts of America and also coached youth fast pitch softball. Theodore served his country in the Army National Guard, serving during the Alexian Brothers stand off.

He is survived by his children, Ian, Oshkosh; Adam, (Cassie Dodd, Addison) Oshkosh; brother, Rolf, New London; his father, Francis, New London; grandchild, Madison Hintzke; sister-in-law, Gisela Dein, Germany; his black lab Fawn; previous wife and mother of his children, Fay and many other relatives in Germany and New London. He was preceded in death by his mother Irmgard, brothers, Horst Dein and John Hintzke and his hunting companion Angel.

Funeral services for Theodore will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, New London with Fr. Arul Joseph I. officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the parish cemetery where Military Rites will be held.
