Sorenson, Jordan “Jo” J.

Jordan “Jo” J. Sorenson, age 25 of the Town of Deer Creek, Outagamie County, passed away unexpectedly taking his fantastic smile to Heaven Friday evening, September 18, 2015.

Jordan was born in Appleton on September 17, 1990 as the son of Mike Sorenson and Katie Schroeder. He graduated from Clintonville High School in 2009 and was a self-proclaimed life-long student; graduating from UW Oshkosh with a major in Urban Planning in 2014. Recently Jordan was working for Ameriprise Insurance in Green Bay and was a current member of St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville. He was an avid outdoorsman, especially when it came to bowhunting. Jordan also liked history, reading, and dabbling in fantasy football with his brothers, friends, and family. He was patient, loving, easy going, cared about other people, and often took the time to get to know a complete stranger. Jordan had a great personality and loved joking with people. He lived life to the fullest and packed a lot into 25 years. The best son and brother; Jordan was known by many and loved by all.

Survivors include: his father, Mike (Karen) Sorenson, Bear Creek; mother, Katie Schroeder, Clintonville; paternal grandparents, Don and Karen Sorenson, Clintonville; maternal grandmother, Judy Schroeder, Clintonville; brothers: Jamie Sorenson (special friend Eric Sherman), Zach Schroeder (special friend Jessie Ferg), Seth Sorenson (special friend Taylor Leach), and Kaden Kaphingst; step-brothers, Andy and Brian Staats; aunts and uncles: Pat (Sue) Sorenson, Craig (Lisa) Sorenson, Jenny (Zach) Neilsen, Kris (Tom) Raniszewski, Pat (Rosie) Schroeder, and Beth (Aaron) Torborg; cousins: Marietta, Ryan, Hailey, Hannah, Sydney, Logan, Dalton, Emily, Kaylee, Kaitlyn, Landon, and Carson. Jordan was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Marvin Schroeder, and his paternal and maternal great-grandparents.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 21, 2015 at 7 p.m. at St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville with Rev. Christian Burg officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date at Graceland Cemetery, also in Clintonville. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 4 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established by Jordan’s family. The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory of Clintonville is assisting his family.
