Traffic
• Sept. 30 – Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 8 a.m. in the town of Waupaca.

Deloris Patrick, 70, of Weyauwega, allegedly failed to yield the right of way as her car entered the westbound lanes of U.S. Highway 10 from Vaughan Road.

Terrance Treuer, 49, of Greenfield, was driving westbound on U.S. 10 and crashed into the Patrick vehicle in the fast lane of traffic. Treuer told police he tried to avoid a collision.

According to the police report, skid marks on the roadway showed Treuer attempted to avoid hitting the Patrick vehicle.

The Patrick vehicle came to rest in the median. The Treuer vehicle stopped on the shoulder of the roadway.

Both drivers were transported to the hospital for possible injuries.
