Electronics recycling event Friday

The city of Waupaca and Waupaca Area Chamber of Commerce will hold an electronics recycling event from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, at the Kmart parking lot.

The event will be open to the general public and to businesses.

The following items will be accepted free of charge: computers, servers, laptops, gaming systems, speaker systems, office phones/PBXs, cellphones, tablets, PDAs, keyboards, mice, cords, printers, copiers, radios, treadmills, microwaves and stoves.

There will be a small fee for the following items: CRT Computer Monitors, $10 each; CRT Televisions, $20 each (LCD TVs and monitors are accepted at no cost); and refrigerators, freezers, A/C’s, dehumidifiers are $20 each.

On the day of the event, those with items should enter the Kmart parking lot off of Western Avenue and follow signs in the parking lot.
