Fire destroys factory in Marion

A fire at Carver Wood Products in Marion Saturday, Oct. 24, destroyed the building.

According to a press release from Marion Fire Chief Joseph Stuhr, the Marion Fire Department was dispatched to Carver at around 7 a.m. for a structure fire. When firefighters arrived, they found the building engulfed in flames.

The structure was deemed a complete loss and the cause is under investigation by the State Fire Marshall’s office.

The department was assisted by several other Fire Departments, including Clintonville Fire Department, town of Grant Fire Department, town of Pella Fire Department, Tigerton Fire Department, Bear Creek Fire Department, Manawa Fire Department, Embarrass Fire Department, and Bowler Fire Department.

Clintonville Area Ambulance Service was on hand, as was as the Marion Police Department and Waupaca County Sheriff’s Department.

There were no reported injuries.
