Tickets for WHS musical on sale

Tickets for this year’s Waupaca High School production of “The Addams Family” are on sale Monday, Oct. 26.

Production dates will be 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5; 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6; 7 pm. Saturday, Nov. 7; and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8.

Tickets are $8, with half-price tickets for senior citizens avaialble for the Thursday and Sunday shows.

To order tickets, call the high school office at 715-258-4131, ext. 1101, beginning Monday, Oct. 26.

All seats for the production are reserved and sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tickets not picked up by curtain time will go on sale during the playing of the overture.

Unclaimed tickets will also be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

The public is encouraged to call the school for the cancellation of tickets.

Director Kathy Alan is seeking people to sponsor tickets for veterans at the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King at the $4 price range.

Those who want to help with the cost of those tickets may contact Ticket Manager Cindy Ikert at Waupaca High School’s main office.

Under the direction of Mark Kryshak, the band members are working to add the instrumental flair to a show full of music in various styles, from Latin Jazz to Rock and Roll and the classic Broadway sound.

This year’s pit orchestra features the following musicians: Lily Sletten, violin; Kiersten Block and Samantha Siversten, keyboard strings and bass; Hannah Mullet, flute; Larkin Hooker-Moericke and Jenna Marie Pagel, clarinets; Gell Christensen, bass clarinet; Ashley Dalgren, Sophia Butkiewicz and Megan Reach, saxophones; Jacob Van Veen and Katherine Leaf, trumpets; Kei Namiki and Ethan Achten, trombones; and Rob Durfee and Joe McCausland, percussion.

Joining the orchestra will be Wanda Eichenbury on piano.
