Winemaker’s Daughter displays works of Benitez, Paug

By Jane Myhra

Paintings by local artists are featured at Winemaker’s Daughter.

Currently displayed is the artwork of Lisa Benitez and Bruce Paug.

A photographer for over 30 years, Benitez began painting about four years ago.

“My paintings look like paintings,” she said. “You can see the brush strokes; you can see the colors at play.”

Her first paintings were portraits of her grandchildren.

“Portraits are my forte,” Benitez said. “I love watching a person come alive on canvas – it’s amazing to me.”

Her birch tree acrylics are also popular.

“I did a birch tree painting for my house and somebody wanted to buy it,” Benitez said. “So that space in my house is still empty, but that is a good problem to have.”

Other artists are invited to display their work at Winemaker’s Daughter, located at 327 N. Bridge St., Manawa. For more information, call 920-596-2992.
