Sarah “Sally” Louise Anderson, age 92 of Waupaca, WI passed away on Monday, November 9, 2015 at her residence.
Sally was born on September 1, 1923 to the late Ralph and Edna (Helgesen) Sporleder in Wauwatosa, WI. Sally married William Anderson on October 19, 1950 in Wauwatosa, WI. He preceded her in death on October 10, 1973. She worked as a nursing assistant for Wisconsin Veterans Home in King for many years. Sally’s family spent their summers at the Waupaca Chain O Lakes, swimming, boating, going to dances at the Casino, Friday night concerts at the bandstand and driving her model T truck around with a gang of kids. As a young woman of 21 she bought her own cottage on Camp Cleghorn. Following WWII she married and raised her three girls on Columbia Lake. She enjoyed living on the lake in her home of 71 years.
Sally is survived by her daughters: Katherine Harris of Waupaca; Kim Anderson, husband, David Raether of Marion; and Cindy and Jerry Nankee of Muscoda; grandchildren: Tracy Harris and husband, Nate Warnke; Caitlin Nankee; and Bryant Nankee; sister, Mary Ericksen of Reedly, CA; cousin, Janie Rudersdorf; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, November 13th at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at Holly’s. Burial will follow at Lakeside Memorial Park in Waupaca. Online condolences available at www.hollyfuneralhome.com
