Christmas parade in Iola

The 18th annual Christmas parade is planned for 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, in the village of Iola.

The parade begins at the Iola-Scandinavia High School and passes Iola Living Assistance and shops on Main Street, ending at the Iola Historical Society.

A visit with Santa and entertainment by a musician and storyteller for all children will follow the parade at the Iola Historical Society machine shed building. Refreshments will be served by the Iola Lioness Club.

Participating in the parade provides an opportunity for individuals, businesses and organizations to promote themselves and show community spirit. Any person or organization that would like to sponsor a float or march in this year’s parade may contact Jeannine Harbridge at 715-445-5450.

The Iola Lioness Club sponsors the parade, with the support of the Iola Village Library, the Iola Lions Club and the Iola-Scandinavia Chamber of Commerce.
