Josephine M. Ludvigsen, age 84 of the Town of Belle Plaine, Shawano County passed away Friday morning, December 4, 2015 at American Grand Assisted Living in Kaukauna.
Josephine was born on March 6, 1931 in Belle Plaine as the daughter of the late Harold and Rose (Reetz) Carlson. She was raised in the Town of Wescott, Shawano County and graduated from Shawano High School in 1949. On February 13, 1951 Josephine was united in marriage to James C. Ludvigsen. The married couple lived in their new home in Belle Plaine until James’s passing on October 28, 2004. Josephine enjoyed working on puzzles, cooking, gardening, and bird watching.
Survivors include: Her Daughers: Jacqualine Ludvigsen, Westfield; Jolene (Ronald) Mains, Savage, MN; & Jeanette (Terry) Dobbe, Clintonville. Sons: Jesse (Genia) Ludvigsen, Manassas Park, VA; Jody (Mariann) Ludvigsen, Menasha; Jake Ludvigsen, Shawano; James (Denise) Ludvigsen, Gresham. 11 Grandchildren & 10 Great-Grandchildren. A Sister: Elnora Roloff, Shawano. A Brother: James Carlson, Shawano. Josephine was preceded in death by her parents, husband James, daughter Joanne Ludvigsen, and a great-granddaughter Bella in infancy.
Josephine’s funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at 11 AM at Family of Christ Assembly of God Church in Clintonville with Rev. Ronald Mains officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Clintonville. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 9 AM until the time of the service.
