Krostue, James “Cuba”

James W. Krostue, age 69, Pella, formerly of New London, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2015, at Cherry Meadows Hospice, Appleton.

Jim was born on June 28, 1946, in New London, son of the late Sigurd and Virginia (Schucknecht) Krostue. He graduated from New London High School in 1964 and Milton College in 1968. He worked in the newspaper business and was the founder and owner of the Shoppers Revue, New London and finished his career at the Seymour Buyers Guide. Jim was an avid outdoorsman; he especially loved trout fishing and also enjoyed coin collecting.

He is survived by his sons, Ryan Krostue (Will Hawking), Phoenix and Aaron (Abby) Krostue, Neenah; former wife Kathy Sendek; brothers, Bob (Gwen) Krostue, Neenah; Bill (Deb) Krostue and Don (Patty) Krostue, both of New London; two grandchildren, Iyla and Baya, who affectionately referred to him as “Papa at the Cabin”. Jim is further survived by aunt and uncle John and Norma Ashworth, cousins, Debbie (Bill) Hardin, Jane (Terry) Erickson and Susan (Brian) Barlow as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. His parents and a brother Tom preceded him in death.

A memorial service for Jim will be held on Monday, December 14, 2015, at 5:00 p.m. at the Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, New London with Pastor Shawn Whitworth officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service.
