Decisive victory for Iola-Scandinavia

Leighten Fischer poured in a game-high 30 points to lead the Iola-Scandinavia Thunderbirds to a 59-26 non-conference victory over Marion, Tuesday, Dec. 22, in Iola.
The T-Birds went to the locker room after the half with a 26-9 lead in the game.
Fischer scored 14 of her points in the first half, while Paige Polzin had 3 for Marion.
I-S continued their drive in the second half, once again out-scoring the Mustangs, 33-17.
Fischer had 30 points for Iola-Scandinavia. Kaylin Ellioff added 10 more and Kendall Johnson had 9.
Leaders for the Mustangs were Polzin had 13 points and Abby Polzin added another 3.
The T-Birds will be back in action on Tuesday, Dec. 29, when they take on Tigerton in an 11:30 a.m. match-up.
