Twice the legal limit, blood test says
Michael S. Tody, 31, Clintonville, is charged with a fifth drunken driving offense.
Shortly after 11 p.m. Oct. 2, Clintonville Police Officer Wayne Wudtke responded to a domestic complaint near Main and 16th streets.
While enroute, dispatch informed Wudtke that the suspect was leaving the scene in a Chevy Suburban, travelling southbound on Main Street. Wudtke saw the vehicle as it turned east on 14th Street. He made a traffic stop.
Wudtke reported that the driver, identified as Tody, smelled like alcohol and was speaking slowly. He admitted to having a few drinks, according to the criminal complaint.
A subsequent blood test indicated that Tody had a 0.17 blood-alcohol content.
According to court records, Tody has four prior drunken driving convictions from June and September 2003 and two more from September 2007.
