Gloudemans, Joseph

Joseph R. Gloudemans, of rural Iola, went home to our Lord on Christmas Day after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

He was born in Beaver Dam, WI on August 17, 1954. Joe was a member of the US Marines and Navy in his younger years and enjoyed living in Japan and seeing the world with his service. Joe held many jobs throughout life such as a pharmacist tech, manual laborer, and welder. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and just watching the animals visit his country home. Joe loved the Packers, making jokes, and playing games like cribbage and Farkle. He was an excellent cook and loved to make caramels and smoke any kind of meat. He was a perfectionist who gave the best of his abilities in everything he did.

He is survived by his four children, four grandchildren, siblings, and many other close family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and the love of his life-his wife Millie.

A private memorial service honoring Joe will take place in the spring.
