Restoring New London’s birds

Museum’s collection has more than 200 birds

New London Public Museum recently delivered the largest flock of birds for restoration, taking 12 birds to the taxidermist to be restored and remounted.

That brings the total of birds sponsored since the program’s start in 2012 to 47, of which 32 have been restored and are back at the museum.

There are still plenty of birds left among the 200-bird collection that need help. Bird sponsorships range from $75 to $200. Visit the museum for more information.
