Sturgeon begin spawning ritual

The Department of Natural Resources began tagging sturgeon along the Wolf River Sturgeon Trail located 1.3 miles west of New London along County Trunk X.

Tagging began around 8 a.m. Monday, April 18.

An abundance of fish can be found along the trail.

The water temperature was 58 degrees.

Sturgeon viewing opportunities are expected to be best during the first part of the week.
