Lunde, Allan “Dewey”

Lunde, AllanAllan “Dewey” Lunde, age 94, of Waupaca, WI passed away on Friday, May 6, 2016 at Bethany Home under the care of Southern Care Hospice.

Allan was born in Shelly, MN on May 20, 1921, the son of the late Edwin and Clara (Stola) Lunde. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked for 35 years at Wisconsin Telephone Co. retiring in 1982. He was a member of the AT&T Pioneers, lifetime member of the VFW Post #1037 of Waupaca and Trinity Lutheran Church. Allan loved bowling, gardening, drawing and carving and especially camping with his family. In 2010, Allan was on the Honor Flight to Washington.

He is survived by his son, David (Signe) Lunde, Waupaca; his grandsons, Brian Lunde, Waupaca and Kevin (Michelle) Lunde, Waupaca; 11 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; his brothers and sisters in-law, Francis (Connie) Denig, Kenosha and Agnes Stone, Wickenburge, AZ and three nephews. Allan was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Betty; his second wife, Anna and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Baldwin Curtiss (Jeanette) Lunde and Roger (Angie) Lunde.

The Memorial Service will be on Friday, May 13 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church with Reverend Bryan Robertson, officiating. Military Graveside Services will follow in the Central WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, King. Visitation will be on Friday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
