Waupaca faces T-Birds Friday, May 13

Marinette swept a North Eastern Conference softball doubleheader over Waupaca May 6.
Meanwhile, the Comets also dropped an 8-6 decision to Fox Valley Lutheran May 3.

MARINETTE – The Comets came close in the first game, but the Marines completed the sweep by scoring 20 runs in the second game.
FVL 8, Waupaca 6 (8 inn.)
WAUPACA – Waupaca built a 6-2 lead with three runs in the first inning, two in the second and one in the fourth, but the Foxes tied the game with two runs in the top of the seventh before adding two more in the eighth.
Kat Otter-Giese, Caroline Ogden, Brenna Oleson, Jensen Trirud and Markie Ash each had two of Waupaca’s 11 hits.
Waupaca hosted Little Chute May 10 and will host Luxemburg-Casco at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, May 12, before heading to Iola-Scandinavia Friday, May 13, for a nonconference matchup with the Thunderbirds.
