Four events scheduled at Thresheree Grounds

The Union Thresheree Grounds in Symco has a full line of activities planned for this summer.

The 10th annual Union Thresherman’s Club Spring Antique Tractor Pull and Symco Power Shootout is set for Saturday, June 11. The scales open from 7 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., with the first pull at 11 a.m.

The Thresheree Grounds will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 19. There is no admission charge. Pie and ice cream will be for sale in the General Store.

The 49th annual Thresheree & National Antique Tractor Pull is set for July 29-31. This year’s feature is Ford and Fordson Tractors and Equipment, plus Doodle Bugs and Sandwich Gas Engines.

The event includes tractor pulls, kids pedal pull, a parade, food and music. New this year is Log Cabin Life Experiences and a chance to drive a tractor.

Daily admission is $5 for adults and free for children 12 and under.

The campground will open at 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 27.

The final event of the summer is the Symco Hotrod & Kustom Weekender on Aug. 12-13.

Featured are hotrods, cycles, live music, mini bike races and a swap meet.

Previously known as the Symco Shakedown, the name was changed due to contract disagreements.
