Charles A. Gensmer, age 81, of King, WI, formerly of Waupaca, WI, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2016
at Wisconsin Veterans Home-Olson Hall.
He was born in Waupaca, WI on December 13, 1934, a son of the late Arthur and Carrie (Davies) Gensmer. Charles attended UW Stevens Point. He served in the U.S. Navy. Charles was a self employed barber in Waupaca, owning “Charlie’s Barber Shop”.
Survivors include a nephew, Randy (Sue) Warren, Waxhaw, NC; nieces: Jenni (Larry) Zielke, Waukesha, WI; Pat (Roger) Putnam, Mukwonago, WI; Julie (Phillip) Koch, Springfield, OR; special friends and caretakers: Bob and Shirley Radtke, Weyauwega, WI; special friend and companion, Alice Koepsel, Weyauwega, WI. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister and brother-in-law – Carol (Duane) Warren.
Funeral Services will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 4th, 2016 with Reverend Jeff Fletcher, officiating. Interment will be at Lakeside Memorial Park in Waupaca. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
