Krostue, Sarah M.

Sarah KrostueSarah M. Krostue, age 36, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, June 19, 2016.

She was born on January 1, 1980, daughter of Bill and Debbie (Poepke) Krostue.

She is survived by her parents, Bill and Debbie; sister, Karly Harke; nephew, Keller Harke; brother, Christopher (special friend, Robin Standke); grandmother, Patricia (Poepke) Moriarity; step-grandmother, Velma (Buss) Krostue; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Sig and Virginia Krostue and grandfather, Paul Poepke.

Sarah was a lifelong member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, New London. At the age of three she started school in Appleton, transferred to Hortonville School and then to New London Sen-ior High School where she graduated. After high school, Sarah participated in the adult day care program at the New London Washington Center.

Sarah lived with her parents, was a very special girl who overcame her disabili-ties, being born 11 weeks premature, weighing 1 lb 11oz; diagnosed with cerebral palsy. She lived a very active, full filling life, enjoying countless activities. Some of these activi-ties included: music and lights, her sister and brother’s sporting events, tubing, camp fires, water slides, sledding, sleeping at the hunting trailer, camping, socializing, trips to the cottage and “on the pontoon.” Most importantly, Sarah was a teacher; who taught how to love. She was a blessing in our lives whose wonderful smile and sweet laugh will always be remembered.

You could not walk –
Now you can ski
You could not see – Now
you have eyes of an eagle
You could not talk –
Now you can sing

Dear Sarah, at the cottage on the Eagle Chain, together we took our last pontoon ride. God has now taken you from us to be with him in heaven. Like the loons on the water, we will only part a short while. For one day we shall follow and be together forever. Love Mom and Dad
