Keller, LaVerne M. (Jannusch)

Keller, LaVerneLaVerne M. (Jannusch) Keller, age 90 of Clintonville passed away peacefully Friday morning, August 19, 2016 surrounded by her family.

LaVerne was born on May 21, 1926 in the Township of Dupont, Waupaca County as the daughter of the late Herman and Amelia (Miller) Jannusch. She attended Pioneer School and graduated from Clintonville High School in 1943. LaVerne was united in marriage to Alfred Keller on September 2, 1944 in Dupont. The couple resided in Clintonville where LaVerne worked at Model Dairy, Urban Telephone, at the computer center in First Wisconsin Bank, as a secretary for Attorney Spangler, and at Keller’s Appliance where she worked along side of her husband Alfred, and in-laws, William, Carl, and Faye Keller. LaVerne was a faithful member of Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville where she volunteered her time with the Christus Lutheran Church Women and the sewing group; where she helped make quilts for the mission program. She was also active in her community as a member of the Golden Belles, Clintonville Hospital Auxiliary, and delivering meals for Meals on Wheels. LaVerne enjoyed traveling, crafts, spending time at their cottage on the Wolf River, and sewing.

Survivors include: her husband, Alfred; daughters, Barbara Keller, Vail, CO and Brenda Keller, River Falls; sons, Gary (Mary) Keller, Clintonville and Gregg (Toni) Keller, Clintonville; grandchildren: Mark (Tera) Keller, Matthew (Jodi) Keller, Marie (Shawn) Luther, and Nicholas Keller, all of Clintonville; great-grandchildren: Courtney Keller, Colorado Springs, CO; Mason Keller, Denver, CO; Shelby Keller, Clintonville; Kelsey Keller, Clintonville; Damion Jonsson, Clintonville; Brytan Keller, Stevens Point; Josh (Megan) Bennett, Hudson; Erin (Jason) Heinrichs, River Falls and Silas Heinrichs, River Falls. Also a sisters-in-law, Dorothea Jannusch, Marion and Faye Keller, Clintonville. LaVerne was preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Elizabeth (Milton Mavis and George) Nuske, Tress (Elmer) Froemming, Albert (Marie) Jannusch, Mildred (Hayward) Millard, Roy (Barbara) Jannusch, and Raymond Jannusch; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: William (Cora Belle) Keller, Elizabeth (Irving) Johnson, Helen (Willard) Bartel, Carl Keller, and Delores (Kermit) Sieber; and a daughter-in-law, Joan Kremer.

LaVerne’s funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville with Rev. Brian Crocker officiating. Interment will follow at the Graceland Cemetery in Clintonville. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory of Clintonville is assisting her family with the arrangements.
