Honish, Linda R.

honish-lindaLinda R. Honish, age 71 of the Town of Larrabee, Waupaca County, passed away with her husband at her side on Monday, September 26, 2016 at the Thedacare Medical Center in Shawano.

Linda was born on March 10, 1945 in the Town of Matteson, Waupaca County as the daughter of the late Walter and Carrie (Euhardy) Krueger. She graduated from Clintonville High School in 1963. Linda met her future husband, Gerald “Jerry” Honish on a blind date and the couple were united in marriage on October 24, 1964 at the St. Rose Catholic Church in Clintonville. Linda and Jerry then purchased a farm just south of Clintonville and a number of years later moved to their current residence in the Town of Larrabee. Linda began working for Carl’s Red Owl grocery store in town and after it closed, worked for Econofoods until her retirement in 2006. She was a member of Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville for many years. In her spare time, Linda enjoyed working on word searches, taking trips with her family to Door County, watching the Green Bay Packers and Nascar, listening to Elvis music, baking, and tending to her flowers. She was a very giving person and a wonderful wife and mother.

Survivors include: her husband of 51 years, Gerald “Jerry” Honish, Clintonville; daughter, Ann (fiance, Ed Davis) McCoy, Rochester, MN; grandson, Andrew Davis, St. Louis Park, MN; brothers, Kenneth Krueger, Shawano and Raymond (Joanne) Krueger, Oshkosh; numerous other relatives including special cousins, Cindy (Jerry) Krueger and Terry (Phyllis) Zehren, all of Clintonville. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Marcella Pues, and a brother Dennis Krueger.

Linda’s memorial service will be held Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, 53 N. Main Street, Clintonville with Rev.
