WHS homecoming week

Waupaca High School will celebrate homecoming the week of Oct. 2-7.

This year’s homecoming court is made up of Autumn Grenlie and Noah Bartel; Andrea Lemkuil and Christian Bump; Paige Levine and Spencer Sondrol; Dakota Marlega and Seth Boldt; Hannah Nasberg and Peter Stratton; Victoria Nowak and Brandon Anderson; and Jensen Trinrud and Hayden Neidert.

They will be among those participating in the 5 p.m. parade through downtown Waupaca on Friday, Oct. 7.

The Comets varsity football team will then take on the Seymour Thunder at 7 p.m., at Haberkorn Field.

The semi-formal homecoming dance will be held from 7-11 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, in the high school commons..

The grand march will be at 10:30 p.m.

The price for the dance will be $5 for singles and $8 for couples.

The homecoming week activities will kick off on Sunday, Oct. 2 with Powder Puff Football and Boys Volleyball, beginning at 1 p.m.

Monday, Oct. 3 will be “Hawaiian/Tropical Day, with coronation that day at 7:30 p.m., in the high school’s Performing Arts Center.

Tuesday, Oct. 4 will be “Dress Up Day”, including dress pants, collared shirts, dresses and skirts.
Wednesday, Oct. 5 will be “Color Day.”

The colors will be black for the seniors, red for the juniors, green for the sophomores, yellow for the freshmen and blue for the staff.

Thursday, Oct. 6 will be “Throwback Day” (attire from the 1950s to 1980s).

Friday, Oct. 7 will be “Comet Spirit Day.”
