Jane C. Forrest, Waupaca, Wisconsin, age 72, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Crossroads Care Center in Waupaca, WI.
She was born June 24, 1944 in Neenah, WI; daughter of Orville and Viola Luebke. Jane graduated from Neenah High School in 1962. Following high school, she attended nursing school and became an LPN working at Appleton Medical Center and various nursing homes over the years. On June 23, 1973, Jane married James A. Forrest in Neenah and together they shared 31 years of marriage before his passing on February 3, 2005. She used to sing in the choir and also played the piano in her younger years. Jane enjoyed watching the Brewers, Jeopardy, and Wheel of Fortune on TV. She was a collector of Disney Globes with more than 200 in her collection. Jane will miss her cats and watching the birds. She will be deeply missed by all of her loving family and friends.
Jane is survived by her son, Timothy (Sara Kicherer) Forrest of Wild Rose, WI, and her special friend, Sandy (Brian) Towne of Wild Rose, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Viola Luebke, and her husband, James Forrest.
A Funeral Service will be on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 12:00 noon at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, WI. Pastor Jim Curtis will officiate. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Holly Funeral Home. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Neenah following the service on Saturday. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
