Robert J. Palmer, age 79, New London passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2016 following a brief illness.
Bob was born on April 26, 1937 in New London, son of the late Delbert and Belle (Carmel) Palmer. He served his country in the US Air Force. On September 19, 1981, he was united in marriage to Agatha Mathis. Bob was a well known musician and played the trumpet in different bands and at area nursing homes.
He is survived by his wife Agatha, a sister and brother in-law, Karen (Mike) Gilomen, Land-O-Lakes and a niece Jill Hinkel, Milwaukee. He is further survived by numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services for Bob will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church, New London with Rev. Mark Tiefel officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the New Maple Creek Cemetery, Town of Maple Creek.
