Michelle B. Smoot, age 49, passed away Friday, November 4, 2016 at Ministry St. Clare’s Hospital in Weston, WI.
She was born July 17, 1967 in New London, WI to Ralph Smoot and Karen (Peterson) Smoot. Michelle enjoyed spending time on social media as well as online gaming. She had a warm and caring personality, and loved her fur babies, too.
She is survived by her significant other, Matt Brigham, of Stevens Point; her mother, Karen Haehnlein (significant other, Larry Stoddard) of Black River Falls; half-brother, Harry Smoot of Oshkosh; step-siblings: Joe Haehnlein of Plover, Mikaylla (John) Ewing of Waupaca, Jerry Haehnlein of Berlin, James Haehnlein of Stevens Point, Jedediah and Jacob Haehnlein, both of Waupaca, Meaghanne, Morghanne and Hack Haehnlein, all of Stevens Point; Larry’s children: Melissa Stoddard of Black River Falls, Kevin (April) Stoddard of Humbird, Dan Stoddard of Alma Center, Mark Stoddard of Blair, Denise (Tim) Arthur of Hixton and Amy Stoddard of Merrillan; and many nieces and nephews. Michelle was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Smoot and step-father, Lawrence Haehnlein.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the Maple Crest Funeral Home of Waupaca. Friends and family may gather from 2 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are greatly appreciated.
