June M. Deitz, Iola, Wisconsin, age 98, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 25, 2016 at ThedaCare Medical Center in Waupaca, WI.
She was born May 21, 1918 in the Town of Dayton, Waupaca Co., WI, daughter of Charles and Ethel (DuMez) Bucholtz. On July 2, 1940, June married Edward H. Deitz in Wibaux, Montana and together they shared 35 years of marriage before his passing on November 29, 1975. She will be deeply missed by all of her loving family and friends.
June is survived by: son, Harlan (Shari) Deitz of Iola, WI; daughter, Cheryl (Mark) Brieman of Fox Lake, WI; five granddaughters: Erin Cross of Milwaukee, WI; Heather Cross of Eau Claire, WI; Tammy (Jason) Deruchowski of Wittenberg, WI; Tara (Mike) Sivertson of Iola, WI; Melanie (Brian) Eskildsen of Waupaca, WI; five grandsons: Steven Garvey of Sterling, VA; Tom (Tracy) Deitz of Oconomowoc, WI; Andy (Brigitte) Deitz of Amesbury, MA; Daniel (Tracy) Deitz of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; Dennis (Wendy) Deitz of Tomahawk, WI; great-granddaughter, Heather (Eric) Gladson of Ogema, WI; great-grandchildren: 16; great-great-grandchildren: four. Also survived by very supportive nieces, nephew, and family friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Ethel Bucholtz; her husband, Edward Deitz; a daughter, Cynthia Deitz; and a son, Charles Deitz.
A Funeral Service will be on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, WI. Pastor Jeffrey Fletcher will officiate. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Parfreyville Cemetery in the Town of Dayton, WI. A memorial has been established in the name of June M. Deitz. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
