‘Weaving a Story’

Sturm Memorial Library hosts program

Sturm Memorial Library will host Jeni Mursau of Woven Blessings for its program “Weaving a Story” from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19.

Mursau will read a story and teach those in attendance how to weave a bookmark.

This program is part of the Library’s Guest Reader program which happens once per month during the school year. These programs are targeted for school aged youth, but younger children are welcome if accompanied by family members.

The Guest Reader program has featured programs on apple tasting, cranberry harvesting, and fishing and groundwater. Future programs will feature cross country skiing, potatoes and money.

Mursau has been active with her basket weaving for several years and conducts workshops all over the area.

This program is free and participants will be able to take their bookmarks home with them.
