Sophomore drops 21 on Indians

Charlie Stockwell had a big night for the Iola-Scandinavia boys’ basketball team in its Central Wisconsin 8 Conference rematch with Weyauwega-Fremont.
The sophomore scored a game-high 21 points and added 11 rebounds, three assists and a steal in the Thunderbirds’ 63-48 win over the Indians Jan. 30 in Iola.
The T-Birds led 29-23 at halftime and outscored the Indians 34-35 in the second half.
Kellan Wandtke added 12 points for I-S, while Kenny Holz and Connor Kurki chipped in with eight each.
Jake Hablewitz and Chris Young led the Indians with 18 and 14 points, respectively.
Both teams have CWC-8 games scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3. W-F will host Shiocton, while I-S will head to Bonduel.
