Little Wolf Auto relocates

Manawa repair shop moves to Waupaca

By Jane Myhra

Little Wolf Automotive will close in Manawa on Friday, Feb. 10, according to owner Scott Bickley.

“It is a bittersweet moment,” he said.

The closure coincides with the Feb. 13 opening of a new location at 323 S. Western Ave., Waupaca.

“We will still offer vehicle pick up at the Manawa location,” Bickley said. “Make an appointment, drop your vehicle off here and put the key in the drop box and we will pick it up, service it and then bring it back.”

Bickley purchased the former Jones Farm Store on July 31, 2006, and opened Little Wolf Automotive. About three years ago, he expanded his business by purchasing the Quick Lube in Waupaca.

In August 2016, he purchased land a few blocks south of the Waupaca location and began plans to build a six-bay repair shop.

He soon realized he needed to close the Manawa site and have his workers centralized in one location.

“I had intended to keep both places open and I had fully intended not to close Manawa,” Bickley said. “It has been a tough decision, but it is best to close the Manawa shop.”

He noted that the Manawa building is prime real estate with 3,100 square feet of temperature-controlled space.

“I want (a business) in there that will benefit Manawa,” Bickley said. “Manawa is part of us and (my family) is not moving.”
