Woman faces felony OWI

Vehicle hits snow bank, driver gets charged

Marina A. Bellin, 56, Townsend, is charged with a seventh drunken driving offense and operating after revocation.

On Jan. 10, Manawa Police Chief James Gorman was advised that a vehicle was stuck in a snow bank at Pine Street and Sandy Lane.

Gorman found the vehicle with its engine running and Bellin in the driver’s seat.

Manawa Police Officer Casey Fields responded to the scene. He reported smelling alcohol and that Bellin seemed unstable on her feet.

According to the criminal complaint, a subsequent blood test indicated Bellin had a .232 blood-alcohol level.

On Nov. 2, 2012, Bellin was sentenced to two years in prison and two years of extended supervision after being convicted in Oconto County of her sixth drunken driving offense.

She faces up to 12 1/2 years in prison if convicted of her seventh offense.
