Real estate agency voted No. 1
The team of agents at Udoni & Salan Realty Group operates like a family.
“They all bring something different to the table – different skills, networks, different areas of focus,” said Joe Udoni. “You can’t do it alone. You can’t do it without a great team. Collectively, I think we have a great team approach. Our office feels like a family. We have fun together.”
They often get together outside of the office.
“It takes all of us. It takes a family to make it run right,” said Scott Salan. “It’s a great place to call home.”
Udoni and Salan are partners in Udoni & Salan Realty Group, United Country.
Their agency was voted Best Real Estate Agency in the 2016 Best of Waupaca Area Contest.
“It’s always nice to be recognized by the community,” said Udoni.
Their team includes Liz Glodowski, Lori Verhalen, Shellady Udoni, Roger Bricco, Tom Ferg, Tiffany Erickson, Bill Haider and Angie and Matt Strasse.
“It’s come a long way in 12 years. It’s been a great journey – establishing ourselves in the community and establishing the business,” Udoni said. “We started with three people. It has varied over the years, with a high of 12. Eight to ten is the ideal number of agents to have.”
Salan said they weathered the mortgage crisis and the recession.
“To be voted No. 1 is very rewarding,” he said.
Their office is consistently in United Country Real Estate’s top 20 in the nation.
“This year, we’re No. 17,” Udoni said. “That represents all of rural America.”
United Country focuses on the rural lifestyle, and he said Waupaca has an abundance of these types of properties.
Those properties include waterfront, recreational, hunting, farmland, hobby farms and rural homes.
“We have over 30 specialty property categories,” Udoni said.”
Salan said that allows them to market lifestyles.
“We’re the only company in the country that approaches rural America with that type of focus,” Udoni said.

The members of their team are involved in the community in a variety of ways.
Udoni and Salan said they have to be willing to help people, as they run into all kinds of situations through their work.
Empathy is required.
For them, it is not just about selling houses.
They help people throughout the different stages of their lives.
Udoni said they take a client-focused approach.
“It’s an exciting business. Every day, something new develops,” he said.
Salan said what each of them has learned along the way helps them.
They get to introduce buyers from throughout the country to the Waupaca area.
That means they spend a fair amount of their time marketing and promoting the community.
They see the recent reinvestment they made into their own building as their way to support the community, particularly its downtown district.
“We feel very blessed and honored to be able to do this job in a place like this community,” Udoni said. “The community’s been very supportive since we started.”
