Turrubiates, Ty J.

Ty J. Turrubiates, age 40, passed away at home with family and friends around him, on Wednesday, March 29, 2017.

He was born on October 2, 1976 in Waupaca, the son of Joseph and Donna (Elkins) Turrubiates. Ty attended Waupaca High School, then served our country with the U.S. Army for 16 years. He retired from the Waupaca Foundry after being diagnosed with cancer. He later bought an MMA store called Caged in Appleton, but eventually the cancer took over and he was unable to continue working. After many trips to the VA in Milwaukee, Ty lost his battle.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Heather Turrubiates; sons: Robert Skruch Jr. and Austin Turrubiates; daughter, Tearineye Turrubiates; three granddaughters: Evalynn, Olivia and Naevah; parents, Joseph and Donna Turrubiates; grandmother, Rita Elkins; brother, Joseph and Tara (Thoe) Turrubiates; sister, Tracy and Jeremy Schoenecker; brothers-in-law, Eddie and Terra Mitchell, Richard and Heather Mitchell; sister-in-law, Christina Barnett and Guy Feaker; as well as several nieces, nephews, family and friends that love him.

A visitation will be held on Monday, April 3, 2017 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Maple Crest Funeral Home. Private family graveside services with full military honors will take place at the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King. Everyone is welcome to a Celebration of Life Monday from 3:30 to 6 p.m. at the VFW in Waupaca.
