Mildred Frieda Runge, age 95 of the Town of Dale, passed away peacefully of natural causes at Living Tree Estates in Greenville on Wednesday, July 19, 2017.
Mildred was born to the late John and Alma (Klump) Esser in Milwaukee on April 27, 1922. She was united in marriage to Melvin Charles Runge on February 19, 1941 in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on March 12, 2001. Mildred was a member of United Church of Christ in New London, where she was involved with the Women’s Faith Group. She loved to play games, especially, bingo, card games and board games.
Mildred is survived by her daughter, Debra (William) Calabria and son, Lawrence Runge; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Justin) Doehling, Emily Calabria and Charles (Sierra) Calabria and great-grandchildren, Tovyn Calabria, Sophia and Grayson Doehling. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Thomas Melvin Runge; sister, Marie and grandson, Anthony Calabria.
The memorial service for Mildred will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 28, 2017 at United Church of Christ in New London. Rev. Greg Watling will be officiating. Visitation will take place directly at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to First Congregational United Church of Christ.
