Sidewalk chalking set for Aug. 13
Waupaca, King & In Between will again sponsor two chalking events leading up to this year’s Arts on the Square.
The retailers group will organize and sponsor Chalk O’ the Town, beginning Sunday, Aug. 13.
Those who own businesses and buildings in downtown Waupaca are invited to participate by chalking their sidewalks during Articipation Week.
Arts on the Square will take place Saturday, Aug. 19, on the city square.

Waupaca, King & In Between will also sponsor a chalking event for children of all ages from 3-6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17.
It will take place on the city square and front lawn of city hall and the library.
There will be free chalk and a snack for the first 150 children, ages 6 to 18.
Families may visit waupacaactive.net to register for the free activity.
The group asks families to sign their children up in advance so it has enough chalk for the children.
Award ribbons will be presented in six age groups.
There will also be a chalking area for children age 5 and under.
The group’s goal is to one day chalk all the way around the square.
The Waupaca Middle School Band will also perform at 6 p.m., on the bandstand.
