Waupaca wins first conference set

Close, but not quite.
After getting swept in its first four North Eastern Conference matches, Waupaca headed to Clintonville on Thursday, Sept. 21, for the Comets’ annual matchup with the Truckers.
Although the Comets won their first set in conference play, Clintonville won the match by taking three of four games.
The Truckers opened the match with 25-18 and 25-15 wins before Waupaca came back with a 25-19 win.
However, the Truckers outscored Waupaca 25-16 in the fourth game.
Waupaca will play the second of four straight conference matches on the road Thursday, Sept. 28, as the Comets head to Little Chute.
