Work begins on Expo

Addition includes new locker rooms

Construction of a locker room addition began Sept. 20 at the Waupaca Expo Center on Grand Seasons Drive.

The addition will include four youth locker rooms and two new high school locker rooms.

This will provide shower facilities for both girls’ and boys’ high school teams.

The project will also give the girls’ high school team an indoor locker room.

Over the last several years, the girls’ locker room has been in construction trailers outside of the facility.

Completion of the project is expected in December.

The Waupaca Area Youth Hockey Association is currently raising funds for the addition.

Engraved bricks, ranging in size from 4-inches by 8-inches to 12-inches by 12-inches, may be purchased for $100, $500 or $1,000.

The bricks will be installed with the new construction as recognition to those in the community who assisted.

Locker room sponsorship with naming rights are available for individual donors, businesses or estate gifts and memorials.
