Bohlmann, Glen F.

Glen Frank Bohlmann, age 100, of New London, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Bethany Home in Waupaca.

Glen was born on July 5, 1917 to the late Reinhart and Clara (Gaveske) Bohlmann in Milwaukee. Glen married Alice Fischer in 1943. She preceded him in death in 1981. On February 25, 1997, he was untied in marriage to Billie Jo Vance. Glen worked at Faulk Corporation. He entered the US Navy WWII and served as a tug boat captain. He worked in the construction business installing sewer and water until his retirement. In his retirement he built and managed apartment buildings. Glen helped build the Ledges Golf Course in Roscoe, IL. Glen was a master mason for 69 years, a 32nd degree Mason, a Shriner and he loved golfing.

Glen is survived by his wife Billie Jo; son, Rick (Wendy) Bohlmann; grandchildren, Mike (Sally) Bohlmann, Sussex and Jeff (Allie) Bohlmann, Wisconsin Rapids and great-grandchildren, Keri, Brad Isabelle and Lydia. Glen was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ruth Moen and grandson, Bradley Bohlmann.

As per Glen’s wishes there will be no funeral ceremony. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Shriners Children Hospital, which was dear to Glen’s heart. Shriners Hospitals for Children, International Headquarters, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607.
