Message found on bathroom wall
Little Wolf Jr./Sr. High School was under a lock out after a threatening message was found written on a bathroom wall Monday afternoon.
Parents received a message from the Manawa School District at 2:44 p.m. Monday, advising them that “a threat is under investigation by school personnel and police.”
The message said no one would be allowed to enter the schools at that time.
According to a press release from the Manawa Police Department, staff and students were secured within classrooms while law enforcement and school district staff assessed the situation.
About 3:45 p.m., the students were escorted from the school and onto waiting buses.
“No one was harmed or injured,” the press release said. “There are no current dangers or active threats to the school district or community.”
The investigation is still pending.
