Mary Lou Brasch of Waupaca, age 64, passed away on Friday, December 22, 2017.
She was a long time resident of Bethany Home. Mary Lou was born in New London on April 12, 1953 to the late Walter and Laurene (Wilcox) Batten. She enjoyed fishing, nature and watching the birds outside her window. Mary Lou loved her God, Jehovah; she served him faithfully until she died. She always had a smile on her face and was an inspiration to many, no matter the trials she was enduring. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her children: Rodney (Joyce) Blank of Weyauwega, Corey (Deanna) Blank of Waupaca, Jamie (Kathy) Blank of Waupaca, Brandon (Amy) Brasch of Manawa; grandchildren, great-grandchildren; sisters: Brenda (Robert) Schussman of Royalton, Linda (Richard) Thompson of Waupaca, Patti (Lee) Kirchner of Clintonville; brother, Marvin Batten; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by nieces, Heidi Thompson and Kelly Klug.
The Memorial Service will be on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, E3273 Apple Tree Lane, Waupaca. Friends and family may gather from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Royalton Cemetery. The Maple Crest Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
