Two vehicles collide near Manawa
A 24-year-old Manawa woman was killed in a crash shortly before noon Monday, Jan. 22, in the town of Little Wolf.
According to the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office, the Manawa woman was driving westbound on County Trunk B, about 100 yards west of County Trunk O, when she lost control of her vehicle, crossed the centerline and was struck broadside by an eastbound vehicle.
The driver was the sole occupant of the westbound vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the eastbound vehicle was a 26-year-old woman from rural Manawa and a 1-year-old passenger, also from rural Manawa.
They were transported from the scene by Manawa Ambulance and New London Ambulance for non-life-threatening injuries.
The names of the victims have not been released. The crash remains under investigation.
