He was born to the late Lawrence and Neva Davis on March 1, 1928. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Rex, Jack, Bette (McDermott) and Mary Lou (Sroda).
Jim served his country in the U.S. Army, graduated from Central State Teachers College in Stevens Point and received his master’s degree in history from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He taught history at Nicolet High School in Milwaukee for over 30 years. Jim was an avid traveler and loved his many visits to Hawaii with friends. Every summer he spent at his cabin in the Northwoods. His passions were artwork, music, and reading. He will be greatly remembered for his vast knowledge of history and his witty demeanor.
Jim requested a small private funeral at his cabin. He will be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews, and friends. The family would like to thank the staff at Park Vista-The Legacy for the exceptional care they provided.
