Anker, Larry J. “Moon”

Larry Jack “Moon” Anker, age 65, of Shawano died on Thursday, February 1, 2018 in Appleton.

Larry was born on June 9, 1952, the son of the late Marvin B. and Viola O.A. (Braun) Anker. He enlisted into the United States Army on October 23, 1970 and proudly served our country until his honorable discharge on October 15, 1973. Moon enjoyed carpentry, was a full-time crossword enthusiast and a part-time lizard wrangler. He was an avid gardener, often sharing his bounty with his neighbors, friends and family. More than anything, Larry loved spending time with his son.

Moon is survived by: his son, Justin Jack (Vana) Anker; his siblings, Roland Anker, Mary (Stan) Norris, Nathan Anker, Howard (Judy) Anker, Judi Bibelhausen and Sally Netzel; as well as numerous and loved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: his parents; and three siblings, Montana Anker, Alvin Anker and Joe Anker; his nephew, Damon Anker; and his brother-in-law, Bob Bibelhausen.
