From Waupaca to Nicaragua
For almost a century, beekeeping has been a popular hobby and business in the Waupaca area.
Today, beekeeping continues to thrive throughout Waupaca County, with its impact felt from Waupaca all the way to Central America.
Local beekeeper and business owner Kent Pegorsch will tell his story of beekeeping at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, at the Holly Center, 321 S. Main St, Waupaca.
His program, “Beekeeping: From Waupaca to the Jungles of Nicaragua,” will touch on his start in beekeeping in the 1970s and his current work to spread the business of beekeeping in Nicaragua.
The program and refreshments are sponsored by Main Street Marketplace, Waupaca.
