The Waupaca Area Public Library is celebrating student art during its annual Youth Art Month exhibit.

The exhibit, open in the library’s lower level exhibit room, showcases the artwork of Waupaca’s elementary, middle and high school students.

Art teachers at each school chose artwork to be displayed and set up the exhibit.

Artwork ranges from pencil drawings and paintings to ceramics and collages.

Local judges presented awards for the top artwork at the show.

The six-week exhibit opened on Feb. 19, included a reception and will run through March 31.

Judges presented nine top awards, and all received certificates and cash prizes from the Waupaca Library Foundation.

In the high school division, Jamie Slattery, Abby Williams and Libby Fox won top awards.

Honored in the middle school division were Rylie Nusz, Gracianna Liegl. and Hailey McClelland.

In the elementary division, Keelyn Fox, Debbie Crossman and Layla Gordon received the top awards.
